Within Our Hands: CANCELLED

'Within Our Hands' is a two-week art exhibition starting with an opening on Monday 1st November to celebrate World Vegan Day. The exhibition will open daily and run for 2 weeks finishing 14th November.

It will showcase the paintings of Christchurch artist Ruth Killoran who has wanted an exhibition of her vegan related art for years.

It's especially fitting as it is the anniversary of the start of her vegan journey.

Ruth says, "There will be many paintings to view, to challenge and hopefully initiate discussion." Ruth is a full-time artist working in Christchurch from her home studio at the base of the Port Hills. Her work has been described as fluidly energetic and intriguing.

"XCHC seemed a great fit for this exhibition because of its location, showing an interest in plant-based food and being a creative hub for artists."
