In this concert, we feature 4 amazing guest artists. Yulia, Fiona Pears , Southern Cross Irish Dance and a Piper.
The 50s up band, we believe, is unique in the world. We have around 30 mostly retired musicians with many of them being ex-Army and National band members who bring a wealth of experience to the band. Our musical director is Alex Morton, a very respected member of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
50s Up Brass has played many concerts featuring artists such as Dame Malvina Major, The Topp Twins, Suzanne Prentice and other prominent local and national entertainers. This year we feature the wonderful voice of Yulia, NZs own Edith Piaf, Violin Virtuoso Fiona Pears with her gypsy violin and Ray Harper, Piper. The magical Southern Cross Irish dance troupe complete the line up which is being moulded together in the expert hands of radio personality James Daniels.
As well as purchasing tickets on line from Ticketek, they can be purchased from Isaac Theatre Royal or from the Information center inside the main entrance of The Palms shopping center in Shirley.
