A Classical Delight

Alexandra graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) in 2020 and a Bachelor of Music (Performance Voice) in 2021 and is now continuing her studies at UC with a Master of Arts in both Performance and Composition. An accomplished musician Alexandra has sung in the 2022 New Zealand Opera Chorus in their production of Macbeth, and performed as Galatea in Handel’s ‘Acis and Galatea’ and Belinda in ‘Dido and Aeneas’.

Alexandra was also appointed Musical Director at North Canterbury Academy of Music in 2021 where she teaches Piano and Voice. Alexandra has established connections between the Academy and the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra where the students benefitted from the CSO’s Community Engagement programme in 2022.

‘A Classical Delight’ shows elegance by Monteverdi, the beauty of Schubert and innovation from Bernstein.
