Awhi Yoga & Wellbeing: 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Awhi Yoga and Wellbeing’s accredited 200hr YTT program is a comprehensive and thorough journey into becoming a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher in Vinyasa Yoga, led by Jase Te Patu and assisted by Tom Brotherstone and Kathleen Kuehn. Whether you are taking this journey with a view to teach or as a personal journey towards deepening your own practice & knowledge, it’s up to you!

We are one of the only YTT programmes in the world that explores the beautiful marriage between ancient Yoga and Te Ao Māori teachings over four separate modules during our three months together. Our course follows the Māori model of Hauora/Well-Being through the four pillars of Te Whare Tapa Whā -- a holistic view of health similar to that taken by traditional Yoga. We work towards a deeper connection to our self, others and to something way greater, enabling us to connect with our purpose in life & how we may share this in service to the world!

Our teacher training occurs over 3 weekend modules and a 6-night immersion retreat at the lovely and restorative Waihōanga Retreat Centre in Ōtaki. The dates are broken down as follows:

Pillar 1 (Tinana): 16-19 June;
Pillar 2 (Hinengaro): 7-10 July;
Pillar 3/Retreat Immersion (Wairua): 25-31 July;
Pillar 4 (Whānau): 11-14 August

We are also proudly offering a Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship this year, which will cover 100% tuition reimbursement to our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training programme at our Wellington studio as well as the 6-night retreat, books/materials and unlimited yoga at Awhi for the duration of teacher training. The scholarship does not include travel reimbursement, accommodation or other costs of living that might be incurred over training dates. Scholarship Deadline: 1 June, 2022.
