Big Book-A-Rama

This annual event is held at the Motueka Memorial Hall in early January in support of raising funds for Tasman Bay Christian School. THOUSANDS of low priced books to choose from (nothing above $4)!

COVID Policy
Now that we have changed to the new "Traffic Light" system, we are able to lay out expectations around how we will manage this event. We will organise the event around two possible scenarios as follows:

- If Motueka is under the "Orange" traffic light (which we are as of early December), we will not require vaccine passes in order for people to come and browse/buy books. Instead, we will limit numbers inside Memorial Hall to 50 people. We believe that this should not result in lines of people waiting to get inside. We will ask people to use contact tracing (via phone or sign-in sheets), and REQUIRE everyone who comes inside to wear a mask, so please come prepared. Entry will not be granted to people who do not have a mask with them or who refuse to use contact tracing.

- If Motueka moves into a "Red" traffic light situation, we will switch entry to a vaccine pass only system. This will enable the event to continue without restricting numbers inside the venue. This will also reduce the risk of COVID transmission if there are higher numbers of cases in the area. Under the "Red" traffic light, ALL helpers inside the venue will be double vaccinated.
