Community Showcase

Saturday showcase:

Everything from chamber music to singer/songwriters to Broadway musicals. The Queenstown community has it all. Turn up the Music Concert Band begins the community showcase with a mix of woodwind, brass and percussion featuring lively musical styles from across the globe. Singer/songwriters from Queenstown and Wanaka, Billie Carey & Matilda Metcalfe share their incredible talents. Local classical vocalists join the stage. Closing the Saturday showcase is the Wakatipu High School’s production, giving us a preview of this year’s explosive musical, Footloose.

Sunday showcase:

Wasabi (Japanese Choir) gets the showcase underway, performing beautiful Japanese songs, accompanied by the ukulele. Local Piano Students of Kinga Krupa Music share their talents. Aspiring Chamber Ensemble join us from over the hill performing a Haydn trio. Rounding out the afternoon, students of Margaret O’Hanlon’s perform their West Side Story Project.
