Join the National Aquarium crew and Napier City Council for a Conservation Week beach clean-up!
This year’s theme for Conservation Week is focusing on how we can take action for nature.
Taking action not only benefits nature, but also our personal wellbeing. When the land is well, the people are well.
The perfect action that we can all get involved in is a beach clean-up. Get your whanau, friends, sports group, school group (or any other group!) together and join us 11 September at Westshore. We’ll have our own team of experts working with the passionate Napier City Council environmental team who will share with you tips and tricks on best ways of managing your recycling and audit all the rubbish collected.
What: Conservation Week Beach Clean-up
When: 11am, Sunday 11 September
Where: 100 The Esplanade, Westshore (at the car park end of The Esplanade by the cycle path heading towards Bay View).
Bags and gloves will be provided, however if you have your own it would be great if you could bring them along with you.
