Dannevirke Library Poetry Group

From seasoned poets, to total newbies, to the simply-a-bit-curious, all are welcome to discover the magic and excitement of poetry, to get involved in the poetry community, and to discover New Zealand poets, share poems and explore and experience what poetry is all about.

Each meeting has a theme (as below) to guide the discussion.

Masks are required to be warn during Traffic Light level Orange.

June - Change.
July - War poetry.
August - In August, we celebrate National Poetry Day. Libraries Tararua participate in this event each year by hosting an online Poetry Competition, along with poetry events around the district.
September - Beauty.
October - Cut out poetry (craft and poetry combined!)
November - Give thanks/be kind
December - Christmas
