Come with us as we take a deep dive millions of years back in time to meet some of the most incredible creatures to ever swim the ocean depths.
Following on from the internationally-applauded Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo™, The Erth team have gathered together a playful group of prehistoric sea creatures to join their giant aquarium.
Now, after delighting audiences around the world, this amazing theatre experience is coming to Auckland Museum for a very limited time and you’re invited to take a dip!
Dive in and get up close to these incredible prehistoric sea creatures in a fun, immersive introduction to the fascinating world of palaeontology. Big, and unmistakably ‘alive’, the animals of Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium will delight curious minds from ages 5 years and up.
Tuesday 9AM performances of Erth's Prehistoric Aquarium have been adapted to be welcoming to people who may prefer a quieter environment, including those who are autistic, neurodiverse, or who become easily overwhelmed.

Saturday 8 January - Sunday 30 January
Thursday-Monday: 10.30AM, 12PM & 2PM.
Tuesdays: 10.30AM & 6.30PM (9AM for Relaxed Performances)
No sessions on Wednesdays.
Scan your My Vaccine Pass
We will be requiring valid proof of vaccination or a medical exemption for all visitors aged 12+ via My Vaccine Pass. See our FAQ for further information.
*Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium is recommended for ages 5+. Children aged 4 and under are welcome. However, if you wish your child 4 and under to have their own seat, please purchase them a child 5-13 ticket. Otherwise, they will be expected to sit on an adult’s lap.
