Get ready for one night of raucous live comedy!

The Tuning Fork's signature comedy event Fork ‘n Funny is back with a fresh line-up of side-splitting comedians to bring the laughs on Fri October 28. Featuring Two Hearts, Brynley Stent, Courtney Dawson and James Mustapic!

Established in 2020, Fork 'n Funny has turned Tāmaki Makaurau’s premier music venue into its premier comedy venue with a revolving line-up of some of Aotearoa's best and up-and-coming comedians today!

This month's Fork 'n Funny is headlined by the infectiously catchy but very serious pop duo Two Hearts whose musical takes on everything from baby boomers to reusable shopping bags have left crowds in hysterics. Together they have featured on such shows as Jono and Ben and Funny Girls while individually they have been seen on our favourite panel shows, Have You Been Paying Attention and 7 Days.

MC for the night is nonother than Brynley Stent! Winner of the 2021 Billy T award for her one woman show “Soft Carnage”, her absurdist and character driven comedy has brought some incredibly funny characters to life such as Providence Gratitude. She has also made national waves appearing on everyone's favourite hospital drama Shortland Street as the cult icon character Kelly-Anne Johnson.

Courtney Dawson has been making a major name for herself in the NZ comedy scene since her 2018 debut, whether it's with her father in the much beloved duo Half and Hāwhe or just Courtney on her own. The self-depreciating comic has already established herself as one of New Zealand's very best comedians, down to her self-described 30 years of practicing material on friends, whanau, random party goers, unsuspecting train conductors and uh, the occasional police officer.

Last but definitely not least, James Mustapic! Well-known across New Zealand for his dive into the halcyon days of 2000s New Zealand in TVNZs Abandonment Issues as well as the Spinoff’s video series Repressed Memories, the biting wit and sharp tongued comedian routinely walks a fine line between the risky and good mannered. He pulls no punches whether it is sharing unapologetic stories of people in his past, hunting down late 2000s Sticky TV hosts or diving into his own emotions in a candid expression of self-depreciation.
