Inside Out: Wed 11 May 6 00pm to 9 00pm. A warm welcome to all regulars, and to newcomers! BRING YOUR WRITING - poems, flash fiction, short story, novel excerpts, performance poetry etc - to share, or come as audience to hear what's new.

Mt Albert Community & Leisure Centre
773 New North Rd, close to the St Lukes Rd Intersection. The MACC complex is to the right of the Mt Albert War Memorial Hall. There are quite a few free parking spaces close by and easy access (ramp and steps). Enter the main foyer and turn left for the Garlick room, which opens out onto decks with outdoor seating and lawns.

Musician Guest: Ema Barton
Ema Barton (Ema I’u) is a full-time Musician / Actor / Tutor and Poet based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She performs regularly with her cover bands Lucky May, Coco-Rocky and The Rocking Roller Coasters and is known as ‘The Queen of Open Mic’ having run multiple events over the last 7 years.
Ema has a passion for serving her community and has formed Holding Space Aotearoa Charitable Trust for this purpose.

Miss Barton has been writing songs since she was 12, developing a strong soulful voice and distinctive guitar style. Dabbling in R&B, jazz, pop and rock; Ema is focusing on a variety of recorded projects this year with her debut single Midnight Mistress coming out later this month. Kia ora Ema for making space to be our guest this month. (Ema on from 7 00 to 7 30pm.)

Attendees need to wear a mask, except for when we're eating/drinking or presenting . Mic cleaned after each use. Important: if you have a cough or feel unwell please stay home while you heal. Kia ora.

FOOD AND DRINK
Coffee/ tea/ nibbles and snacks are all free. You're very welcome to bring a light meal, a bottle of wine etc with you.
