Island Bay Festival Day at Shorland Park is cancelled for 2022.
The Wellington region and all of New Zealand moved to Red at 11:59pm on 23 January. Under the Red settings in the NZ COVID Protection Framework only limited numbers of people can gather in a defined area at a public event. With this restriction on numbers of people, the Festival Day event cannot go ahead.
All Island Bay Festival headline/big events are cancelled - this incudes the annual Community Parade, Blessing of the Boats and Festival Day with market stalls and live performances.
