Mallows for Mum - A Mother's Day Tasting Experience!

Double Vision Brewing has teamed up with Maxine Scheckter from Sugar Flour to bring you the ultimate Mother's Day event, just for you and mum!

With a mallow puff theme for 2022, each treat has been specially designed to match one of our beers, with unique flavours and origin stories that will catch your eye and taste buds. This tasting event will reveal how each was made, the reasoning behind the flavour decisions, allow for answers to your burning questions, and encourage exploration into new ways to enjoy both desert and beer at the same time.

Paired Beer: Red Rascal, Red IPA
Milo marshmallow, milo ganache, milk chocolate coating and milo dust

'Tropical Mallow'
Paired beer: Mouth Party, Hazy IPA
Passionfruit marshmallow, yuzu ganache, white chocolate coating and candied peel

'Strawberry & Lime'
Paired Cider: Hard Case Strawberry-Lime Cider
Strawberry lime compote, strawberry mallow, strawberry white chocolate coating and freeze-dried strawberry

'Vanilla Ice'
Paired beer: Smooth Operator, Cream Ale
Vanilla marshmallow, caramelised white chocolate ganache, white chocolate coating and a touch of gold cause we fancy

'Milk & Cookies'
Paired beer: More Cowbell, Milk Stout
Vanilla marshmallow, cookie base, milk chocolate and cookie crumble

Who is Sugar Flour?
Sugar Flour is a Pastry School located right next to the brewery! Run by Maxine Scheckter, who is a French-trained pastry chef, who has worked in restaurants and patisseries in Wellington (Logan Brown), Paris (Gateaux Thoumieux) and London (The Fat Duck and Sketch). She loves to share her passion and teach others to create beautiful food. These Mallow Puffs from the core start with a delicious treat that is encased in marshmallow and dipped in chocolate or white chocolate to hold every bit of delicious flavour together.
