Marion Aitken

Having no formal training, apart from an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, Marion Aitken's art journey started with watercolours, learning from tutorial videos from a fabulous watercolour artist in Australia. Marion continued onto acrylics and then onto oils with their amazing blending capabilities. Floral and botanical art is her main choice of artwork but she love experimenting in all different types of art including landscape and abstract. Being a perfectionist, Marion prefer paintings with a lot of detail as opposed to a looser style of painting. Colour and light inspire her and this is more apparent with sunlight and shadows that play when the light turns and catches onto petals and leaves.
