The Matariki Star Cluster will rise in the sky signaling the start of the Maori New Year.
It’s a time where people, whānau, and communities gather together to remember the year that has passed, to celebrate the present, and to plan for the next year. It is a time to reflect on our loved ones who are no longer with us, to feast and celebrate with our relatives and friends, and to look towards the future and the hope of a season full of bounty.
ARCADIA calls all followers of the star cluster to gather throughout the long weekend to catch up with whanau and friends, share some burgers beers and video games and sing a song or two.
Thursday night “ Stars in your eyes” Karaoke extravaganza. Play games, Sing songs!
Friday night, reach for the stars on Moon Patrol, Space Invaders, Gyruss!
Saturday night, sing with the bar staff enjoying the best from the 80s!
Throughout Friday, Saturday Sunday from noon through 6 pm we have family gaming fun, bring the kids down for $10 all the games you can play.
