FIRST LIGHT
Reflection, Regeneration, Release

Join us this June and July for three thoughtfully curated programmes reflecting on our place in this world - meditating on life, loss and rebirth as we mark the first-ever official public holiday dedicated to Matariki, Māori new year.

Familiar favourites by Haydn, Schumann and Mozart are given fresh perspectives, paired beautifully with introspective works by Natalie Hunt, Lyell Cresswell, Grażyna Bacewicz and more.

REFLECTION: Meditations on our place in the world
Programme One - Martinborough

Natalie Hunt | Matariki
Anton Webern | Quartet 1905
Franz Joseph Haydn | String Quartet in D Major Op. 20, No. 4
Benjamin Britten | Three Divertimenti

This performance will be ca. 70mins in duration, without interval.
