Aotearoa's own Imperfect Offering presents the music of Leonard Cohen. Titled "Of Love and Loss - Songs of Leonard Cohen", the focus is Cohen's life journey with the women he loved and the losses he experienced. The band takes you on a journey from Cohen's first album 'Songs of Leonard Cohen' in 1967 to his album 'You Want it Darker' released just weeks before his death in 2016. With a story that spans his Greek Island life with his muse Marianne to New York's artist hang-out Chelsea Hotel and a meeting with Janis Joplin, Imperfect Offering will present his most beloved songs.

Book early to secure the best view in the house.

Imperfect Offering was formed by lead singer Peter McMillan in 2014 from established rock, jazz and classical musicians. They appeared on TVNZ News on the event of Cohen's death in November 2016 and were selected to be represented on the official Leonard Cohen website Cohencentric. They have toured Aotearoa since 2015 attracting great reviews and full houses.

Their growing repertoire includes the astonishing Hallelujah, Suzanne,Chelsea Hotel, I Tried to Leave You, Bird on a Wire and songs from Cohen's extraordinary album 'You Want it Darker'.

The programme will also remember the wife of lead singer Peter McMillan, who passed over in February of this year. Brenda was Imperfect Offering's #1 fan who, throughout their six years of performance, attended most of their concerts and whose strength in her illness inspired the band to perform. Brenda and Peter's son singer-songwriter Michael Llewellyn will be performing for the incoming audience, from 6:15pm. The main programme will start at 7:00pm.

"Cohen's music captured perfectly with the incredible talent of the whole band." - Radio 13
