Have you got some patchwork blocks made and now want to do something with them? Did you inherit some nice patchwork squares from Aunt Annie but am not sure what to do next? Maybe you would like to try patchwork and make just a few squares? Have you got a special piece of cotton fabric that you would like to sew in to a small project but am not sure how? If the answer to any of these questions is YES then this class is for you.
Students supply their own materials for this course. You will need to bring along:
- your pre-made blocks (if you have some)
- some contrasting cotton fabric - fat ¼’s are ideal and four will be enough for a start
- sewing machine
- thread and scissors
- if you have a cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter bring these along, but if not don’t worry as we have all these items available to borrow
A free pattern for a table runner, tote bag or cutting mat cover will be available at the class for you to choose from.
If you have a Community Services Card, the fee is reduced by 50% to $40. If the class is full but you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email Nicola at dunedinwea@gmail.com
This course is kindly funded by Creative Communities and the Dunedin City Council.
