Celebrating 50 years of service of the iconic Silver Fern Railcar.
Come along to the Pahiatua Railway Station and see what we are all about. Immerse yourself in New Zealand’s railcar heritage.
Experience the nostalgia of railcar travel from a bygone age and ride the rails on our Standard Railcar RM31 from Pahiatua up to Mangatainoka then down to Konini and Return.
Sample the luxury of railcar travel on one of our iconic Silver Ferns as we run up and down our own tracks at Pahiatua.
There will also be special appearances by the sole surviving Wairarapa Railcar (Tin Hare) RM5 trundling up and down our tracks.
Visit the station to see our collection of railway memorabilia or treat yourself to one of our range of souvenirs.
Tour the workshops to see our collection and restoration projects.
Food and coffee will be available.

Standard Railcar RM31 Rides, Pahiatua - Mangatainoka - Konini - Return, Adult $15:00 / Child $10:00
Silver Fern Yard Rides x 2 return rides along our own track, Adult $2:00 / Child $1.00
Wairarapa Railcar RM5 Yard Rides x 2 return rides along our own track, Adult $2.00 / Child $1.00
