The next instalment in a series of recurring monthly workshops, Play Space Tasters!
Ever wanted to see if acting is for you? Haven’t done performing for a while and miss it? Maybe you are a seasoned performer and you just want to connect with new people and explore play in a curated environment? Play Space Tasters is a workshop that welcomes EVERYONE of ALL experience levels, for a 3-hour session which will take you through:
Warm-up games
Character building exercises
Verbal and non-verbal exercises
Solo and partner work
Exploring imagination and play
… just to name a few!
This month’s facilitators are: Kat Forrester & Georgie Sivier!
Kat has a unique skill set that she has built up over the years from being an actor, director, writer, and general dogsbody performer. She studied at Hagley Theatre Company and found her feet in the Christchurch performing arts community. She likes to push people in a supportive way to explore new methods of communication and self-discovery in voice and body. Be prepared to be excited, ignited and challenged!
Georgie is an award-winning actor, comedian, drag performer and Co-Directs Play Space Productions! Georgie will expertly guide this workshop in a friendly and judgement freeway, to help everyone get the most out of their time.
Location: Understorey, Level 1/80 Hereford Street, Christchurch. (Head down Shands Lane from Hereford and go into the Grant Robertson Building, Level 1 and it’s on your left.)
Other details: Bring a water bottle and something to write in, and wear comfortable clothing. Gender neutral toilet on site. Wheelchair accessible.
Vaccine passes are checked on entry.

*If childcare is a barrier for you attending, please get in touch, there is ample space for your child to be (in the same room) while you attend the workshop!
