Pōhutukawa is a sound and movement experience created by Byllie-Jean in collaboration with local story weavers - taonga pūoro practitioner Mahine Kaui, the cousin duo Seta Timo and Iona Ulaula holding rhythm, Grace Thorpe and Ani Oriwia (vocals), and a guest appearance by our current artist in residence Asher Newbery. This collaborative performance journeys the cyclic phases of reflection, death, potential and the spaces between.
