Gisborne Surf 'n' Turf
This day is all about connecting over the purpose of improving the Mental Health of Young Adults.

Our first part is an all ages Surfing Themed event. It's a great opportunity to surf with like minded people and enjoy the outdoor time during this summer!

Surf Day
Location: Gisborne Area subject to conditions on day please check Facebook page for updates on day.

Starting 10am - Officially finishing at 4pm

Surf instructors and necessary equipment (Foam top surf boards, wetsuits etc) will be available for use. However, we suggest bringing your own if possible. We cannot guarantee usage or allocated slots for surf lessons. We are contracting this out to local surf guides/instructors.

Ensure to bring sunblock, water, change of clothes and a towel. Along with other day items. There are local food vendors that can cater to your dietary requirements in the area.

*Ensure all safety precautions are met and upheld. In attending our event, while Scendent, its agents, officers and employees will take all necessary health and safety requirements. Liability ultimately falls onto the individual for all health and safety.*
Afterparty:
Our ticketed event will be starting at 8pm and moving through till 2am.

6 hours of performing time (will see if we can get some speakers to play throughout the surf event too).

Acts and run times for the day will be posted on our social media pages as information becomes available.

INJURY AND DAMAGE WAIVER
I understand that paddling is an inherently dangerous sport that can entail serious risks. Whilst Scendent takes all care to provide a safe surfing experience, I acknowledge that I participate at my own risk and must be an active participant in my own safety and that of other surfers. I waive any right to a claim of any kind, including for damage to property, against Scendent, its officers, employees and/or representatives, even if loss or damage results from negligence.
Without restricting the above, I also relinquish the right to any appeal against Surfing New Zealand or Surf Life Saving New Zealand, its officers, employees and/or representatives resulting from a decision on their part, regardless of the nature of this decision.
PHOTO AND MEDIA CONSENT
I authorise Scendent and/or its staff, associates or subcontractors to use photos, video and other media for any promotional, educational or other related uses. I also authorize Scendent to permit the use and display of photographs and/or recordings in any publication, multimedia production, including video and web usage, display, or advertisement.
This consent discharges Scendent, its agents, officers and employees from all future claims arising from the use of said photographs/media, including any claims for invasion of privacy or defamation.
PERSONS UNDER 18
We at Scendent take all laws and legal obligations seriously. Resulting in no person/s under 18 consuming alcohol or partaking in our R18 event.
MUST FOLLOW THE LINK and consent must be by a person aged 18 or over. Persons under 18 must have this waiver and consent read and agree by a parent or legal guardian. In this case, the person filling must ensure that the minor has read and understands the above.
