From the co-creators of Ruapuke Roots, Red Robin Records and The Craft Warehouse Parties comes a new boutique sound system event - Sub Depot.
Taking place on Saturday 9th July in a new private Mount Eden venue this will be the first time these two sounds converge for a night of Reggae music played on a pair of custom-built Hi-Fi.
It is a BYO event (no glass) with Hallertau Kombucha on tap and a selectioon of fine Carribean cuisine.
Doors open 8pm sharp, dress to impress - 80s style.
The Reggae Rodeo Sound System formed in Te Mata, Raglan and now residing in Tamaki Makaurau, operating under the loose guidance of Red Robin, Ranking Renee, selector Atmosphere and hype man Papa Naram - expect wicked and wild vibes from the 70s,80s,90s and today all played through a mix of valve and high-end audio technology.
Uplifting Sound System is returning from a hiatus abroad in Australia where it played rammed shows on the sun-kissed coastlines of Queensland. A heartical sound run by Ezzi roots and selector Fred ites expect reggae classics, foundation tunes, rockers, one drop and other Jamaican specialties in a deep rootikal style n fashion. A night not to be missed under any circumstances!
