This week featuring Aleister James Campbell Orbitra and his quartet
Guitarist Aleister James Campbell returns with his Orbitra to one of his favourite hometown venues, the Rogue and Vagabond, after a long and mysterious absence.
Some say he has been splitting his time between chopping wood with his bare hands, wrestling alligators in paddling pools, and relentlessly practicing the unmelodic scale in all thirteen keys for an implausible average of 107 hours per week.
Others report that he has been locked in his music room watching every 80’s shred guitar tutorial video ever made (and several that never were) in slow-mo on YouTube.
We suspect the truth is rather more prosaic…
He’ll be joined for this auspicious occasion by some excellent co-conspirators to render various standards and a sanguine selection of originals with characteristically joyful abandonment.
