Tiger Bonsai Day 2022

Organized by Auckland Penjing Art Trust, this event is funded by the Auckland City Council as part of the Auckland activation plan. Tiger Bonsai Day was created to celebrate the Chinese New Year of Tiger in Auckland. We aim to create an event that showcases some of the ancient Chinese art and to create a unique cultural exchange experience for the community. It will be a great opportunity for the local residence, artists and businesses to meet with each other and be interactive, helping to boost the energy for the community. We will be inviting some key artists from various ethnic groups, including Kiwi bonsai artist and Taichi performer, to exhibit their understanding of the Chinese culture. We believe it will be a very involving event for the audience to get a taste of the Chinese culture and have fun with their friends and families. We will be running Bonsai workshop to show you how the Bonsai is created and cover the topic of plant and health. There will also be traditional Chinese musical performance, Taichi performance and great art of Bonsai display. It's completely free! Bring your friends and families and have lots of fun!
