Watercolour on Fridays

Painting outside and working from real life is exhilarating. Feel the breeze, smell the salt air, listen to the waves and splash a bit of paint around.
Now that sounds fun right? What a wonderful way to learn.

We will work outside as much as possible, weather permitting, but we have a lovely cosy studio overlooking Cook Strait where we convene and assess the day.
We currently have watercolour workshops running now until Dec. 23, 2022

Fridays 10:00am to 12:30
Fridays 1:00 to 3:30pm
Friday sessions can be all day, fortnightly, if desired.

We also have classes on
Tuesday afternoons 1pm to 3:30
Tuesday evenings 5:30pm to 7:30pm

South Coast Studio offers a variety of art-based workshops. This term we are offering Watercolours, Drawing and Art History and Life Drawing.
Prior experience is not required.

Our classes are for everyone with an open mind, a positive attitude, and a willingness to laugh a little while learning.
Materials can be provided for use or purchased from the studio.

Located on Wellington’s stunning south coast overlooking Cook Strait, our studio accommodates up to 12 people per session so it’s a social but not crowded affair.

We also host exhibitions, and our studio is available for private events and self-run workshops.
