Join the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki whānau for an unforgettable day at Gibbs Farm sculpture park. Your visit will help us to raise funds for our collection and our programmes.

The celebrated Gibbs Farm rests on 400 hectares of re-formed farmland on the Kaipara Harbour. The privately owned park is home to an internationally renowned collection of large-scale sculptures by some of the world’s leading artists, commissioned and curated by Alan Gibbs over the past 25 years.

On your visit you will be free to roam the hillsides, to take in the views of the harbour and gain perspective on the sculptures from a distance and right up close. You can self-guide with the map provided and enjoy an introduction to some of the key works by our friendly art experts stationed throughout the park. Your visit may also include an encounter with an exotic animal or two, including emus and giraffes!

TRAVEL & PARKING:

BY CAR: We strongly recommend carpooling to ease congestion at the gate and reduce the impact on the environment. Please take note of your allocated entry Gate on your ticket. Parking is free with your booking. One car park per booking. Additional carparks can and must be purchased in advance.

TERRAIN: The terrain is hilly and steep. A full circuit around Gibbs Farm is a 3-4 hour walk on both grass and the paved pathway and you can expect to walk 6-7km over the course of the day. There are large ponds and lakes across the site and children will need to be supervised. There are also various animals at several locations on the property.

ESSENTIALS: The weather is changeable so be prepared for all conditions and be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, sunblock, water and wet weather gear. The day will continue rain or shine.

LUNCH & COFFEE: Pack your own picnic lunch. A coffee cart with hot and cold beverages and baked goods will be on-site on the event day.

FACILITIES: There are basic portaloo toilet facilities only.

TICKETS: Make sure you PRINT YOUR TICKETS and have them ready to present at the gate. There is NO WIFI so you will not be able to download it on-site. This will speed up entry and you’ll have more time to enjoy the farm.

MEMBER TICKETS: Members can purchase a discounted Members ticket while stock lasts. One ticket per Member and one per Member guest pass only.
