Andrew White is a world-class guitarist and prolific singer-songwriter whose soulful voice has been compared to the likes of Peter Gabriel and Sting. He is one of those rare artists who can skilfully combine brilliant finger-style guitar work with a compelling story in lyric and deliver them both in an engaging live performance. A modern-day troubadour, his early influences include both British folk and progressive rock artists such as the great John Renbourn, Bert Jansch, Ralph McTell, John Martyn, Al Stewart, Nick Drake, Pentangle, Pink Floyd and others.

In 1984 he recorded his first self-produced album ‘Conversations’ which was picked up by the U.S. label Narada Records for worldwide distribution. His next project, ‘Islands,’ an instrumental collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist David Arkenstone, reached the top 10 on the US Billboard Charts in 1990.

Following a live broadcast on BBC Scotland Andrew was signed by Glasgow-based, Linn Records and released 'Guitarra Celtica’. He went on to record his first and long-awaited vocal album - ‘Pray for Rain,’ produced by Donald Shaw for Vertical Records. A national tour of the UK followed with Scottish contemporary Gaelic band, ‘Capercaille,’ and a Canadian tour from the West coast to the East followed, ending with a performance at the Canadian Guitar Festival. This performance led to a recording deal with boutique US label, Candyrat Records.

In January of 2005 ‘Andrew White Live’, was broadcast to over 2 million people by CBC, as well as nominated for a Canadian East Coast Music Award. In 2007 ‘Traces of Silver’, was Andrew’s first CandyRat release followed in 2009 by ‘Walk in Light’, recorded in Chicago with the windy city’s finest session musicians.

With three decades of touring and 16 albums under his belt Andrew returns to the stage following covid disruptions to showcase material from his new studio album ‘Beautiful Trouble’ and his forthcoming solo Ragtime/Blues album, ‘Where the Wild Winds Blow’.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear up close and personal one of the finest acoustic Guitarist / Singer/Songwriters on the planet today. This will be a relaxing laid back afternoon of superb original acoustic roots. Food for the soul and muse-inspired storytelling.

Scottish-born Celtic soul, folk blues, jazz singer/songwriter Isabella (Izzy) Miller Bell Aka Ma Bell introduces Andrew and opens the stage with a short support set.

‘Beautifully constructed guitar compositions that will not only inspire other musicians but also embrace the general listener in a warm glow…an aural palate you would associate with a Van Gogh.’- Fyfe on Folk, UK
