Art Exhibition: "x" Celebrating 10 Years of Fortyonehundred

Starting her art journey in 2013 - This exhibition held at Allpress Studio is celebrating the first decade of Lizzie Snow’s art career.

"My artwork is inspired by fractals in nature; the ever-repeating patterns found throughout our natural universe." - Lizzie Snow 'fortyonehundred'.

Lizzie creates contemporary explorations of the intricate orb of organised chaos that is the mandala. The concept of scale and reflection inspires her – these same patterns and phenomena are present throughout nature and culture.

The intention of her artwork is to act as a facilitator, to visualise the unbreakable and immense interconnection between humans and nature. With ink and paint, she creates patterns that either free-flow and expand upon the canvas, or are structured through scaling, symmetry, and repetition.

Lizzie’s artwork has a large social media following and she has collaborated with multiple brands including Apple, Converse, Lululemon, Peugeot, AllBirds, and more. This is her second solo exhibition, and first show since moving back to New Zealand.

Allpress Studio is an open space for artists, designers, and storytellers - established or emerging - to share their talents and inspire all of us through their creative spirit. The studio is open from Monday to Friday, 7am – 2pm.
