Art Out and About

Here is an opportunity to immerse yourself in art over three days.

We will be a friendly group enjoying a keen interest in art with all levels of experience welcome from none to some. This is a tutored workshop where you can feel safe to have a go, perhaps challenge yourself a bit but certainly have some fun.

We will work in the studio and out on location, weather permitting. One day we will work with a life model and the other days take inspiration from the plethora of subject and landscape here on the south coast.

Among the exercises, we will have a go at fast sketching techniques, the use of viewfinders and composition, a bit of colour theory, observation techniques, and a challenging but eye-opening session of Cecil Collins Life Drawing.

Bring your preferred medium for working on location and anything you like from the depths of your art draw.

The Beach house cafe is next door and we can organize lunch there, or you can bring your own.
