Join us at Te Waka Huia o Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho Wellington Museum on the third Tuesday of each month for our new talk series, Capital Conversations. Capital Conversations is a talk series that brings together an impressive array of local speakers, focusing on Wellington’s most innovative, creative and forward-thinking people, businesses and organisations – the coolest people from the coolest little capital.

To kick off our first programme in August, we are thrilled to welcome Sandy Cumpstone from Capital Football. Sandy works as the Women’s World Cup (WWC) Legacy and Inclusion Manager and is well-known throughout football circles for her work on various committees and her advocacy for the female game both at Wellington United and through the Capital Football Women’s Advisory Group.

Sandy will be speaking alongside Bella Cartman, who started The White Shorts Podcast – all about women in football. They will cover the mahi that Sandy is working on, the impact of the Women’s World Cup in New Zealand, WWC updates and link in New Zealand football updates/news so the crowd can get a bit more of an understanding about the local talent and opportunities there are in football.

Doors open at 5:00 pm, and the talks take place from 5:45 pm onward.

If you’re a football fan, you won’t want to miss this one! Come along to the talk and then head down to the fan zone to watch the Women’s World Cup semi-final match afterwards.

Tickets are $20.00 per person, and ticket price includes one drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and access to grazing platters throughout the evening.

There will be a cash bar available.
