Speaker series: This talk will take you on a journey around the world, to the most uninhabitable places on earth.

Join Dr Kevin Lee as he gives his first-hand account of studying some of the most fascinating and resilient life forms that inhabit the earth’s most extreme regions, hiding in plain sight, the extremophile microbes!

“Dr Kevin Lee is a microbial ecologist, whose current research is focused on the distribution and diversity of microorganisms in a wide range of ecosystems including geothermal sites, deserts, the polar regions, the atmosphere, plants, herbivorous fish, squids, and kombucha. His work has contributed towards our search for life on another planet, by examining our most similar environments on Earth.” – AUT

This talk is sure to give you plenty to talk about, so stick around at our EcoHub afterwards, for stimulating conversations about micro-ecology and extreme environments over warm drinks and snacks.

Please consider contributing Koha towards Kaipātiki Project for hosting this talk.
