Have you ever wanted to volunteer with an environmental organisation?
What better way to fight climate anxiety, and make a real impact on our environment. Surround yourself with welcoming and positive people, who are lending a hand to regenerate our environment and build climate resilience.
Kaipātiki Project is a well established Environmental Charity that has been operating in North Auckland since 1998. We manage an amazing community of dedicated volunteers across our multiple sustainability projects, hosting over 2000 volunteers each year. Volunteers are the life-blood of our organisation, and our priority to support and appreciate our volunteers is felt by all who join the whānau.
We offer the following volunteer opportunities:
Native Plant Nurseries (Birkdale and Hobsonville)
Sustainable Food Gardens (Birkdale and Hobsonville)
Community Compost Hubs (Birkdale and Hobsonville)
Regeneration Activities (Local Reserves)
Office support and internships (Birkdale EcoHub or work from home)

A variety of tasks are available to suit different people and support can be offered to differently abled people. To ensure you have the best possible experience as a volunteer, we host a "New Volunteer Welcome Day" at the start of each month which we invite you to attend. The session covers what we are about, activities that are involved, Health & Safety and of course a morning tea!
If you can't make these dates, please look at our website for alternative volunteering opportunities, or contact us to see what could be arranged.
