Poquito is very happy and excited to have psychedelic pop maestro 'Hanwho' as our Songwriter Sessions host for all of May.

Hailing from South Africa, Hanwho performs a soulful and groovy selection of originals and all time favourites combining acoustic and electronic elements with subtle looping in his own unique way..
So take a trip with us and meander through a diverse depth of genres and styles with Hanwho, every Thursday night this May.

Warm Pup (Mia Peters) is a multidisciplinary Artist and Musician from Muloobinba (Newcastle), Australia. She brings original sounds inspired by progressive and experimental folk; donning rich and often dissonant harmony. Completing this trio are Waiheke angels, Lily Rose Atu and Bonnie Harris.

Reuben Sceats, 22 years old, Wellington born and raised, is in his last year of my Bachelor in music at Te Auaha. A keen songwriter, Ruben will be playing mellow singer songwriter tunes, indie, melancholy, alt rock, folk and jazz flavours.

Yochay is an Israeli born, traveling guitarist. Starting in the world of jazz, Yochay has branched out to include other styles to his music, such as Latin, gypsy, funk and many more. In his he tries to bring all these flavours together in fresh and unexpected ways in the hope of creating something new and perhaps present the beauty of a culture to people who would otherwise not know it.

Te Kahui is a rap artist from Otepoti who made his way up to Poneke this year to further Pursuit his music career he has a passion for hip hop and music and loves to rap over beats he’s currently exploring the combination of jazz and hip hop together with his band and taking inspiration from the likes of Mac Miller and Tom Scott.
