Margot Pierard has become familiar to local audiences through her captivating performances with the Tropical Downbeat Orchestra and her hugely popular Hawke's Bay Arts Festival shows.
Margot grew up in a family where music was the sport of the house. World-class, she is vastly experienced in the genres of jazz, blues and soul and covers the likes of Nina Simone, Etta James, and Donny Hathaway among many others.
The other members of this trio, need no introduction but here it is anyway...
Tom Pierard is a composer and educator living in HB. His background is in heavier music however he likes to keep a few bands on the go and regularly performs in jazz, rock & hip-hop collaborations
Caleb Robinson (Little Bushman, John Psathas) is a criminally underrated New Zealand bass player. His groove is second to none, nothing gets past his ears and he is as musically solid as a diamond. In any other country, he would be making every gig Pino Palladino couldn't!
