We've built another one!

After the Bay of Plenty was robbed of hundreds of hours worth of sunshine this summer, we decided to do something. That’s why for three days, we’re bringing the second sun to mount maunganui.

The second sun is an incredible, one-of-a-kind, sculpture set at 18 metres tall and 8 metres wide. It's fitted with 8000 lights specially designed to lift your mood and ease other symptoms of seasonal affective disorder.

Whatever the weather, the second sun is set to shine at Mount Maunganui's main beach from Friday 6th - Sunday 8th August. It will be lit from sunrise to sunset each day, so come on down to Mount Maunganui's main beach this weekend and get your dose of summer.
