Late Fridays in March

Ever wondered what happens at Wellington Zoo as the sun goes down?

Throughout March the Zoo will remain open until 7:30 pm every Friday, giving you an opportunity to experience the Zoo at dusk. On Late Fridays, Zoo entry will be half-price from 4 pm with last entry being 6.30 pm.

There will be special free animal talks around the Zoo each Friday evening, make sure to check our website for the full schedule.

Would you like to meet our Capybara herd or Sasa the Sun Bear up close? We also have extra Close Encounter experiences available every Friday. But be quick, you'll need to book for a Close Encounter and limited spaces are available!
