In the morning, you will make your sketchbook and have a break for lunch while the glue dries.

In the afternoon, you will start your journaling adventure with natural objects found around
Kumeu Arts!

Nature Journaling is a great way to get back to nature and a great antidote to our stressful world we live in. We will discuss what Nature Journaling is about and through using a series of prompts you will soon be in a relaxed frame of mind documenting your natural finds in words and sketches in your new sketchbook.
Everything that you need to make your sketchbook is provided and you will be able to choose between different textures of art papers depending on which medium you wish to use in your sketchbook.

What you need to bring -

Although everything is provided, if you have a particular decorative paper you wish to use for the covers, bring that. The sketchbook is approximately 15x20cms with the option of making it either portrait or landscape format so your decorative paper will need to be big enough to cover both back and front covers.

Likewise, if you have a particular colour ribbon or elastic you wish to use to hold your book together, bring that otherwise I will provide white and black elastic.

For the afternoon you will need to bring –
Drawing and painting equipment such as pencils, fine liner pens, colour pencils or watercolours
for working in your journal.
There will be a limited supply that you can use if you do not have any supplies yourself.
Oh, perhaps a rug or chair to use as we will ideally be outside to draw, weather permitting!
