Making Landfills

Join us in Making Landfills, a project by Giulio Laura investigating the politics of waste material.

We encourage you to bring small broken objects no bigger than a hand of any colour to add to the LANDFILL! You will select tools from Giulio's tool wall to prepare and stick your pieces to the mosaic.
Lets bind broken objects, pottery, plastic lids, toys, trinkets in a large scale mosaic style image of a landfill in an attempt to visually engage with the enormity of the waste problem.

Giulio Laura
Completed his Masters Of Fine Arts (FCH) at Whitecliffe College of arts & Design. Giulio has been an active board member of RM gallery for 3 years and is currently operating Rubish Residencies Aotearoa on behalf of Tardigrade World. He sustains a studio based research practice around discard studies whilst working as a lecturer at Whitecliffe College of arts & Design.
