Class topics:
Meditation for Busy People – week of 30 January to 20 February 4 weeks
Do you ever feel that you are too busy to meditate? Learn practical advice on how to meditate and integrate meditation into your busy modern life. Then you will become more focused and positive.
How to Stop Overthinking – week of 27 February to 27 March 5 weeks
Our busy minds can become overwhelming – darting from one thing to another, dwelling and obsessing about things and a feeling of being ‘stuck in our head’. These uncontrolled states of mind often lead to worry and anxiety. Learn how to control our wild mind and how to gain clarity, mental freedom and a stillness within.
Freedom from Attachment & Craving – week of 3 April to 24 April 4 weeks
Living in a constant state of desire, grasping and craving creates dissatisfaction in our mind and never ultimately leads to lasting happiness. By developing contentment we can free ourselves from deceptive desires and start to discover a more meaningful way of life.
What to expect at a class:
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend or to benefit from them. Each class consists of two guided meditations and an explanatory talk.
The classes run for 90 minutes. Anyone can practise meditation and everyone is welcome to attend. There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion.
These classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
