The 2023 National Youth Brass Band is proud to present Te Wā Heke Mai: The Future.
Under the baton of Tyme Marsters from Christchurch, the band will perform an entertaining programme of fresh and contemporary music, which includes pieces everyone is sure to know and love as well as some new music which showcases the versatility of brass bands.
The band features 35 of the country’s most talented young brass and percussion players, along with guest soloist, Nic Scott, on tuba.
The concert will also feature the world premiere performance of ‘Te Wā Heke Mai: The Future’, and new commission from former band member Dale Vail.
