New Year's Eve 2023

Wellington City Council invites you to get together with friends, whānau and your fellow Wellingtonians for New Year’s Eve 2023!

There will be live music to groove to, with Zephyr starting the party at 8pm, followed by a Kids Countdown and short burst of fireworks at 9.30pm for the little ones who don’t want to miss out.

From 10pm, Orchestra Wellington will take to the stage with a theme of movie music, until it’s time to count down for real! The night and the year will end with a bang, with a three-minute fireworks display at midnight.

There will also be a small selection of food trucks in Odlin’s Plaza.

Parking is limited. Walking, biking or using public transport to get to the event is encouraged.
