Julie Mason

She has also performed at festivals and clubs all over the globe, including Canada/ USA/ Thailand/ Indonesia/ Singapore/ Hong Kong/ UK/ Ireland/ France/ Belgium/ Italy/ Norway/ The Netherlands and Germany...plus all over Australasia and the South Pacific.

Julie is delighted to be back at the Club with her great mates Linn/ Caitlin and Jane as Pianowomen, and the sterling rhythm section that is Aaron Codell and Steve Cournane.

Linn Lorkin

The first woman to play electric keys in NZ, Linn was on demand in Auckland in the 70s playing a Fender Rhodes in various combos, including a band with Tama Renata, Howie Morgan and John McGuire. She went on to play piano with her own trio at Ronnie Scotts in London followed by eight years on the New York piano bar scene. It was in New York that she began her prolific song-writing. She returned to NZ in 1985 and has co-created several outstanding bands together with eighteen albums. Her solo show "Hey, Piano Bar Lady!' won Best Cabaret at the 2013 United Festival in New York. Her acclaimed memoir “The Redhead Gets the Gig”, is available in print, on Kindle and as an audiobook (with three excerpted podcasts on RNZ) - read by Linn at a piano!

Caitlin Smith

Caitlin Smith is one of Auckland's best-known and loved jazz vocalist/musician, regularly seen performing at venues. Caitlin is a strong supporter of the local music / arts community, regularly attending concerts of fellow songwriters, poets, musicians and writes a popular column for NZ Musician magazine.

Jane Horder

Jane is a performer, singing coach and musical director. She has taught for over 30 years within Performing Arts with extensive experience in secondary school environments in Drama, Music and in Choral programmes. In 2020 she was the vocal director for AMICI Production of ‘Mary Poppins’ as well as playing the Bird Woman, in 2021 she was Musical Director for StageIt’s production of ‘Chicago’, and recently was vocal director for G & T’s concert version of ‘Chess’. Jane has sung with Auckland band Prima Swing Riot for many years, and is an accomplished pianist and accompanist. In 2019, Jane was the recipient of a Scroll of Honour Awarded by the Variety Artists Club NZ, recognising her contributions as a celebrated singer, musical theatre performer, musical director and vocal tutor. Jane works as a freelance vocal coach/singing teacher, choir director, music director and performer.
Jane has sung with Auckland band Prima Swing Riot for many years, and is an accomplished pianist and accompanist.
