Join us for a range of Silver Festival experiences at Kiwi North as we celebrate seniors on Wednesday, November 15th.

Kiwi North Silver Festival experiences include:

• Keeper Tours of our Living Treasures, including native geckos, invertebrates and kiwi in our nocturnal kiwi house
• Participate in our ‘Paint By Numbers’ exhibition and help us bring to life the geological past of Northland
• Meet Shirley Gates who completed her masters thesis at the age of 76, as she talks about it never being too late to learn
• Wander through the Whangārei Museum, a visual collection of stories that make this region what it is today
• Head down to the Heritage Park and visit the Heritage Clubs who will open their doors and be available to share their knowledge and enthusiasm

All activities are included with general admission to Kiwi North, with half-price tickets for seniors on Wednesday, November 15th.

The Silver Festival is a series of events across the Whangārei District which celebrate older adults and acknowledge their important role and contribution to our district.

Kiwi North is open from 10am – 4pm daily, with kiwi feedings at 11am and 3pm.

Public transport is available, the Maunu Citylink bus service, route 6, travels hourly between the Rose Street Depot and Kiwi North.
There is also plenty of parking available.
