Southern Ballets' “Snow White” tells the story of a beautiful young princess named Snow White.
After her father, the king, dies, Snow White is left in the care of her cruel and jealous stepmother the evil queen. The queen becomes envious of Snow White’s beauty and orders her huntsman to find her and kill her. However, the huntsman is stopped by a group of beautiful butterflies and Snow White escapes into the forest where she comes across a small cottage that belongs to seven dwarfs. They take Snow White in and allow her to stay with them.
Meanwhile the queen discovers that Snow White is still alive, and she decides to take matters into her own hands. She disguises herself as an old lady and offers Snow White a poisoned apple. Snow White bites the apple and falls into a deep sleep. The dwarves return home to find Snow White seemingly lifeless, they fear she is dead and mourn her loss.
After hearing of her fate, the prince is brought to the sleeping princess by the butterflies, he becomes enchanted with Snow Whites beauty and kisses her hand. She awakens and the spell is broken.
