With ANZAC day on Tuesday 25th April, our meeting two days later will be acknowledging, not only the returned service men and women, but also commemorating all the horses that went to war. In World War One more than 10,000 horses left our shores to support our troops, only 4 horses returned home.

On the day we will provide a nine-race program with the first race timed to jump at 12.20pm. Between 1.30pm and 2.30pm there will be a short ANZAC Remembrance Ceremony in the birdcage, delivered by representatives from our local RSA.

There will be Free Entry to the race meeting for all and excellent catering available in the Grey Way Lounge.

We are looking forward to a good attendance on what we hope will be a lovely South Canterbury autumn day.

Gates will be open to the public from 11.30am.
