Seasonal Celebrations are being held at Anō Anō and throughout the community. We will do crafts suited to the season, and invite the sharing of stories about what this time of year means for us in our own lives, in the cultures we have come from, and in the changes we’ve noticed happening in nature.
This is the time of year when the day and night are equal lengths. Life is returning, flowers are starting to bloom, chickens and rabbits are having babies, and it’s time to plant our seeds! We’ll be sharing stories of our ancestors' traditions, observing what’s happening in nature, getting curious about how we feel inside at this time of year too. Are we stretching our limbs out towards the sun just like the plants and animals are?
So, if you’d like to do something special to mark this time, join us! We’ll be decorating eggs, planting seeds, sharing stories, and finishing up with a shared kai. Bring a plate to share.
Message us if you’d like to come.
We run on funding and donations, and koha is appreciated
