Cantharis Alpacas is one of longest established alpaca farms on the Kapiti Coast, only 30 minutes North of Wellington.
We are currently open for pre-booked and guided walks with the alpacas for you and the alpacas to be entertained.
During the tour you will be able to walk with an alpaca on a lead over our handcrafted farm track, hand feed them and, assuming they are in the mood, share some intense hugs. We intend to have at least 1 alpaca available for every 2 adult guests.
At the top of the property you can meet, get close, enjoy a cuddle and sight the other alpacas. On the way up and at the top you can also catch the stunning views of the Kapiti Coast, Kapiti Island, the South Island (on clear days) and beyond. Ensure you have your camera ready to take photos and “selfies” of you and the alpacas.
During this unique experience you will learn about these beautiful creatures, and you will have ample time to ask questions.
Note that we only operate the alpaca walks and that pre-booking is required, no walk-ins please.
