Might could Art Project Space is delighted to announce the return of photographer, performer and ceramicist, Andrew Leo Stansbury (b. 1986, Texas).
Dishing up a soulful series titled "Passed|Past", Stansbury explores memory and mourning through photographs, objects and looped audio and video.

Stansbury bring us close-up, capturing compassion and crucial details only noticed through acts of love and tenderness. Such as the unsurpassed beauty in a luminous flower petal and the voice of Stansbury’s mother leaving adoring messages for her son, as well as the unspoken toll illness takes on one physically.
The collection of photographs is described by Stansbury as “In the aftermath of sorting a past life, there is a poetic journey in the finding of hidden notes and collections, the lingering smells still on the pages, the secret stash of candy in a purse, and the need to hold onto random objects in the search for purpose and meaning in the absurdity of life.”

Andrew Leo Stansbury is a queer ceramic-based performance artist from Cuero and San Antonio, Texas. They are currently a Senior Administrative Associate with UTSA School of Art and UTSA ARTS. Recently, they were a Lecturer/Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) and Gallery Technician at the University of Minnesota Morris, teaching Ceramics and Photography. In 2018, they were awarded as one of the NCECA Emerging Artists. They received their MFA from University of Massachusetts|Dartmouth in 2017 and were a member of the artist collective The Lullwood Group. Previously, they received their BFA from UTSA in 2011, and their AA & AS from Victoria College in 2009.
