The Summer school holidays have been a time to enjoy our favourite parks, playgrounds, beaches, and shared public spaces. As the school holidays draw to a close, Keep New Zealand Beautiful would like to give some love back to these spaces we’ve enjoyed, by facilitating a couple of Upstream Battles in the East Auckland area.

These Battles will involve:
- Collecting litter
- Sorting and categorising litter
- Removal and correct disposal of litter

As well as being unsightly and unsanitary, litter poses a threat to wildlife on land and at sea. To keep this litter from reaching our precious oceans, we need to pick it up and dispose of it correctly while it is still on land. That is where you come in!
Keep New Zealand Beautiful will provide the rubbish bags and gloves, as well as having a photo set up and stickers, and M&Ms to give away.

If you would like to join us please RSVP via the ticket link above or email lauren@knzb.org.nz with the 'Cockle Bay Reserve' in the subject line. Please include your name and the number of adults and children that will be joining in the clean-up.

We look forward to seeing you there and working together to Keep New Zealand Beautiful.
Meeting point: Please meet next to Windross House.
